"Haven't You Seen Me Sleepwalking..."

Well, I told a big, fat lie. I'm really only on #360 something in my Gifts List...not even half way.
Honestly, I think of things throughout the day I'd like to add to my list...but then I forget when I get home. But ok...no excuses. Slacking is slacking.

Today was my second Monday at my big girl job. Mondays are not my friend. Perhaps all my coworkers are just getting ready for the week and don't have much else going on besides seas of paperwork and phone calls. All I know is...I spent an hour redacting medical files (that's just a fancy word for whiting out social security numbers) and a heck of a long time looking up desk lamps on Pinterest.  I only got to leave the office once to visit a Gerber Baby (SO CUTE) with Jackie (fellow caseworker) for a hot second then came back to practice writing a Judicial Review (JR).  That is as fun as it sounds.  Mostly, I obsessed over how I was going to make my cubey (that's what I call my cubicle...it's my way of endearing myself towards it) more inviting. Because being trapped in it all day with so little light...really was causing the onset of depression. I don't think I'm exaggerating there either. I think after my first paycheck I will spruce it up as a birthday present to myself.

My other coworker, Victoria, an adoption worker, was given a cake by our supervisor for her 4 year anniversary of working there and over 210 adoptions in one year!  I don't know much about it...but I'm pretty sure she's a rock star.  She seems pretty great at her job and she's also sassy. So I like her.

I planned on saying more interesting things today but I got home late and by the time I finished my homework it was 10:30. Now it's 10:46 which is 16 minutes past my ideal bed time.  I'm yet to reach it. At least I proved I could do more than one entry right?

I'll just leave you with this:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qdk3iPFYxg

It's called "Falling" by the Civil Wars. (Subject line) Disregard the creepy still frame in the video and let it play in the background while you're doing something else...that's how I prefer to listen to it.

One time, it was my friend Colleen's birthday and we were all sitting around a bonfire in our friends' Jenn and Kyle's backyard, roasting (or just lighting on fire) marshmallows and my friend Jayce and I started talking about how much we love the song Hallelujah. (I prefer the Rufus Wainright version, I can't remember which he preferred. I seem to remember my friend Phil likes Buckley's...Jeff Buckley's? Neither here nor there.) Which led us to decide there was something we loved about songs that were somewhat haunting.

Anyway, that's why I like this one.

Good night night.
(I accidentally combined "good night" and "night night" to Lindy once and we chuckled about it. Good story, huh?)

Love from St. Augustine,
Caitlin

Gifts today:
-Lindy set up the coffee pot last night so I wouldn't have to make it this morning...with a note that said "Just push the button" (as if I'd be confused (: that silly Lindy)
-My sister sent me a text that said "well now you have to tell me about it! Unless you don't want to and in that case I will let my curiosity eat away at me for the rest of my life (and Mike's too)" and it made me laugh out loud.
-I called her on my way home and we had a good Sister Talk
-Kayla bought me some of my favorite bon-bons (is that what they are?) from Claude's...just because.
-The weather was beautiful tonight
